June 2026Tecreando recently had the pleasure of welcoming 14 students from Purdue University (USA) as part of an international academic program designed to expose participants to diverse business and innovation environments across the globe.
During their visit, students engaged with Tecreando's leadership team through a structured session covering the company's work in deep-tech engineering, software development, artificial intelligence, and venture building. A central theme of the discussion was the journey from research to market — how scientific innovation can be translated into scalable, commercially viable businesses through strategic development, partnerships, and access to funding.
A particular highlight was the presentation of Holometrica, a deep-tech venture co-founded through Tecreando's venture-building activities, which served as a tangible example of this process in action.
The session also provided students with a broader perspective on the European startup ecosystem, including the role of accelerators, incubators, and funding mechanisms such as the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator — along with the opportunities and challenges facing technology startups in Greece and across Europe.
The visit concluded with a presentation by Stone Soup, one of Athens' leading entrepreneurial communities, followed by an engaging Q&A session on topics ranging from artificial intelligence to international career development.
Tecreando was proud to contribute to the students' understanding of Europe's innovation landscape and to showcase Athens' growing role as a hub for technology, research commercialization, and entrepreneurship.
